I am honoured and proud to speak at the Carmen Thyssen Museum in Málaga about my work, my project ID-Identity, modelling, working as an artist and reflecting almost 30 years back to places, feelings and thoughts when my artistic career started. And the next day it got all very colorful when I hosted an ID-Identity workshop at the La Termica cultural center.

ID-Identity is a project I started in 2006, one year before the release of the i-phone and 7 years before the word “selfie” became word of the year in 2013. What are the means of identity in our days when most people create retouched “avatars” for their social network profiles?

Identity is the personal and common quest to find who we are. To lose your identity is a frightening thing. Each and every one of us has a complex identity defined by numerous and often hidden factors. How we portray our identity to others and ourselves is an important part of everyday life.
